Sambutan Perayaan Hari koperasi Sekolah (HKS) peringkat Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Dato’Onn, Butterworth (SMKDOB) telah berlangsung mulai 28  Jun hingga 2 Julai 2010.  Majlis pelancaran dan perasmian HKS telah selamat dijalankan dengan jayanya sewaktu perhimpunan mingguan pada hari Isnin, 28 Jun 2010 bertempat di Tapak Perhimpunan sekolah.  Semua pelajar, guru-guru dan kakitangan sekolah terlibat dalam sambutan HKS. ...

Tarikh 22-26 Mei 2010, SMK Dato' Onn telah menyertai MAXIS CYBERKIDS CAMP di Hotel Flaminggo, Kuala Lumpur. Negeri Pulau Pinang diwakili oleh SMK Dato' Onn dan SMK (P) St. George. SMK Dato' Onn disertai oleh Ahmad Syameem, Amirul Hakeem dan Muhd Taufik. Objektif kem adalah untuk menggalak serta melibatkan pelajar berhubung dan berkongsi maklumat projek bersama komuniti secara online. Dato' Lee Chong Wei, jaguh badminton negara turut hadir untuk menyuntik semangat kepada semua peserta. 

UMW Toyota Motor today launched its 2009 Toyota Eco Youth (TEY) programme. The programme, which began in 2001, is a joint effort by UMW Toyota Motor and the Ministry of Education to cultivate environmental awareness and encourage respect for the environment among the youth in secondary schools.

This year, the number of schools participating continues with 16, though with the co-operation from the Ministry of Education, changes were made in the school selection process in order to cast a wider net. Schools were chosen based on their best submission of a proposal using the first 3-step problem-solving methodology of their suggested TEY project.
